We`re on our way, sort of...

We headed to the Regina airport at 8:30 to catch our 10:15 flight to Toronto.  Unfortunately, while on the plane it was announced that the plane had the tires replaced (as per scheduled
maintenance), but they were unable to find the paperwork to say the tires had been changed and they were unable to leave with out the paperwork.  After 90 minutes of waiting in the plane, they were still unable to find the paperwork so decided to have eveybody deplane and they would redo the tire change and file the paperwork -estimated time of 2 hours.

By this time it was apparent that most people would miss their connections, so everyone that had a connection had their luggage offloaded and was sent to rebook their flights.  After looking for options (Air Canada had another flight to London at 8:20, but it was already overbooked by 4 in executive class and by 19 in economy so not an option) we found the only reasonable option was a flight leaving at 8:55 the next day, arriving at 9 pm.  We took the original flight (delayed by 3.5 hrs) to Toronto -only 20 minutes after we were supposed to have departed - and had Air Canada put us up in the Crowne Plaza over night.  So we've lost a day in London, but at least we got a free hotel room and supper out of it...  Heading for the airport around 6am tomorrow.  Just hope the pilots don't get sick tonight...
